Vic: Cop Shop star dies

MELBOURNE, Dec 13 AAP - Peter Adams, one of the stars of the television series Cop
Shop, died this morning after a long battle with cancer. He was 61.

Friend Chris Ryan said Mr Adams, who played the raffish detective JJ Johnson in the
long-running series on Channel 7, died this morning in Melbourne.

"I just wanted to let the people of Melbourne know that we have lost a great friend,
a great actor, a great personality," Mr Ryan told Melbourne radio 3AW.

He is survived by his wife and two daughters.
