Qld: Hanson hits hurdle in poll tilt

BRISBANE, Feb 25 AAP - Pauline Hanson's latest tilt at politics faces a huge hurdle
with both major parties ruling out giving her preferences.

Ms Hanson has confirmed she will run as an independent in the March 21 Queensland election,
and will reveal more details on Monday.

Media reports say the 54-year-old former fish-and-chip shop owner will run in the Gold
Coast hinterland seat of Beaudesert, where her former One Nation party has polled strongly
in past elections.
