NSW: ACCC to look into tow truck industry
The competition watchdog says it will investigate claims of anti-competitive behaviourin the New South Wales tow truck industry.
The state's Independent Commission Against Corruption has already said it will investigatethe industry after claims of collusion, corruption and standover tactics.
Australian Competition and Consumer Commission chairman ALAN FELS says anti-competitivebehaviour could also be an issue, and the ACCC will investigate.
It's been reported that two of Sydney's biggest tow truck operators struck a deal withthe NRMA to receive preferred business.
